Etymology

Anacampsis: Combination of the Greek ana, meaning “back,” with kampa, for “bend” for the reflexed palps.

Overview

Anacampsis is a medium-sized genus of moths within the subfamily Anacampsinae. Anacampsis is sometimes sorted into the tribe Anacampsini, but due to the complexity and recent rearrangements within the Gelechiidae family, the authors have not included the tribe.
