Sphinx: Named for the resemblance of the caterpillars to an Egyptian Sphinx.

Overview

Sphinx is a cosmopolitan genus of moth found and consists of about 40 species worldwide. There around 14 that can be found in the United States and seven of those have been documented within the Midwest region.
