Erinnyis: Named for the Erinyes, the three goddesses of the Underworld. Also called the Furies, they were mythological social justice warriors.

Erinnyis is a New World genus of sphinx moths containing approximately 12 species.

Erinnyis cubensis is a newly described (2015) species of Erinnyis that may or may not be recognized by taxonomists as the 12th species of the genus.
Erinnyis alope is a southern species of moth that has been document in the Midwest.
Erinnyis ello has been sighted numerous times in the midwest, but no known records exist for Indiana.
